Martin Desmarais and his staff have been selected as the United Soccer Coaches Region II Coaching Staff of the Year. Â

Vinny Coppola, earned regional coach of the year honors after guiding the Engineers to an overall record of 22-3-1 in 2025. MIT won both the NEWMAC regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Round of 16.  Â

MIT tied the program record with 22 wins and 20 shutouts. The Engineers finished the year with the most shutouts in Division III. Â

Desmarais and his staff, who also earned the NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year, coached seven all-conference players, including the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year inÂ
Natalie Barnouw. Barnouw andÂ
Madeline Seebeck were also named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans.Â
