The United Soccer Coaches has announced its NCAA Division III Women’s Scholar All-America honorees, with three NEWMAC student-athletes earning the recognition.
MIT’s
Madeline Seebeck (San Antonio, Texas),
Leena Mehendale (Dallas, Texas), and
Arianna Doss (Houston, Texas) each earned a spot.
Seebeck was a second-team selection. The junior mechanical engineering major boasts a 3.9 GPA and was also named USC First Team All-Region after scoring a career-high 10 goals while anchoring an MIT defense that allowed just seven goals all season. She was named a first-team East Region Scholar All-Region yesterday.
Senior Leena Mehendale was named to the third team after a second-team Scholar All-Region nod. The NEWMAC Laurels of Academic Excellence winner carries a 4.0 GPA in biological engineering. She was also a first-team All-Region selection as a midfielder.
A junior, Doss was also named to the third team after a second-team Scholar All-Region selection. The Biological Engineering and Political Science major maintains a 4.00 GPA. Doss was a First Team All-Region selection after finishing fourth on the team with six goals and 15 points
