AUSTIN, TEXAS – Three members of the MIT women's swimming and diving team have been named 2023-24 Academic All-Americans as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. Junior
Kate Augustyn (Eau Claire, Wis.) is one of six repeat selections and is joined by first-time selections in senior
Melody Wen (Cary, N.C.), and sophomore
Annika Naveen (Wynnewood, Pa.)
. All three landed second team laurels.
Augustyn is a Biological Engineering major, who won three National Championships in 2024, and was a seven-time All-American, bringing her career total to 20.
Naveen is a Bioengineering; Computer Science and Brain & Cognitive Science major, who was a member of the National Championship 200 Medley Relay Team at the 2024 Championships. She also earned All-American honors as a member of the 200 Free Relay, bringing her career total to three.
Wen is a Computer Science,Ecnomics, and Data Science major who earned All-American honors in the 200 Free Relay at the 2024 Championships, and is a five-time All-American.
