AUSTIN, Texas – MIT’s
Kayleigh May (Camarillo, Calif.) was named to the 2025 Academic All-America® Division III women’s volleyball teams as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and announced today. May is a second-team selection, marking her first time receiving this honor.
A junior majoring in Brain & Cognitive Science, May carries a 3.50 GPA. This is just one of numerous accolades for the setter this season, as she was also named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America First Team honoree, leading the nation in assists per set (11.12) and ranking 11
th in assists (1,168).
May was also the AVCA Region II Player of the Year and first team All-Region selection, as well as the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year and first team All-NEWMAC selection. She also earned NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors.
