Sophomore forward Anouk Basket totaled two goals and two assists in a 1-1 week for the Smith College field hockey team. She scored both goals for the Bears in a 3-2 penalty shootout loss at Keene State on Wednesday. In Smith's 5-0 win over Salve Regina, she assisted on two goals.

Guided WPI to victory in NEWMAC shootout with Springfield on Saturday

Lakin anchored WPI's defense with 14 saves across a pair of games, including a double-digit performance against Trinity before helping the Engineers secure a dramatic NEWMAC victory at Springfield. The junior goalkeeper made 10 saves against Trinity, their double-digit save performance of the season and ninth of his career, despite the Engineers falling 2-0. Lakin followed with four saves in Saturday's scoreless draw through regulation and two overtime periods at Springfield before stopping four shootout attempts to help WPI prevail 2-1 in the tiebreaker. The performance marked his third shutout of the season and ninth of his career while helping the Engineers improve to 2-0 in NEWMAC play.
