Rachel Simkewicz led the Pride with two goals in a 3-2 comeback win in overtime against Salve Regina to open up NEWMAC play. Simkewicz scored the game tying goal in the 55th minute to force overtime before scoring the game winning goal in overtime. Against a tough Trinity (Conn.) squad, the sophomore scored the lone goal for the Pride on a penalty stroke. She ranks first in the NEWMAC in goals and second in points.

Golden keyed a staunch defensive effort as No. 6 Babson recorded back-to-back shutouts over the University of New England and Wellesley to open NEWMAC play. The junior back and the Beavers' back line gave up just two shots to the Nor'easters in Tuesday's 5-0 win and held the Blue without a shot or a penalty corner in Saturday's 6-0 victory.
