NEW LONDON, Conn.- The NEWMAC saw 12 women compete at the NCAA Regional Diving Competition, held at Connecticut College on Friday and Saturday.Â

MIT sent six divers:
Fiora Beratahani, Kailey Epstein, Larissa Gosslau, Emma Scott, Logan Yee and
Maya Zavatsky. Springfield College sent three divers:Â
Elizabeth Santos,Â
McKenzie Aparo, andÂ
Bridgette Hogan. Smith College'sÂ
Katherine Welsh and
Miranda Strunk competed
, and Wellesley College also sent
Elsa Marsden.

Beratahani swept both boards, finishing first with a score of 485.90 on the 3-meter board and 442.30 on the 1-meter board to become the Regional Champion on both boards.Â

The 2026 NEWMAC Diver of the Year, Yee, finished in fifth with a score of 445.45 on the 3-meter board and placed eighth on the 1-meter with a score of 416.30.

Scott finished in seventh with a score of 437.85 on the 3-meter and landed in 10
th in the 1-meter with a score of 409.90.

Welsh placed eleventh on the 3-meter board with a 410.60, and seventh with a score of 416.90 on the 1-meter board.

Santos led the trio from Springfield with a score of 403.20 on the 3-meter for 15
th place, and a score of 381.50 for 17th place in the 1-meter. Aparo followed in 18th with a 376.40 on the 1-meter, while she came in 23
rd on the 3-meter with a 348.75. Hogan came in sixteenth place in the 3-meter with a 397.25 and had a 20
th-place finish with a 367.45 on the 1-meter.

Epstein placed 16
th on the 1-meter board with 382.15 and finished in 20
th on the 3-meter with 368.40 points. Zavatsky finished in 19
th on the 3-meter, compiling 369.15 points, and 21
st on the 1-meter with 359.75 points.

Strunk finished 21
st on the 3-meter with a 359.60 and 23rd on the 1-meter at a 349.75.

Gosslau had a 22
nd-place finish on the 3-meter, tallying 354.05 points, and placed 26
th on the 1-meter with a score of 337.50.

Marsden finished 24th in 3-Meter diving. The senior recorded a score of 323.95 in the 11-dive competition. She placed 27
th on the 1-meter board with a score of 337.25.

The Northeast-North region will send seven women's divers to the NCAA Division III National Championships in March. The NCAA will officially announce selections on Monday, March 2.
