CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - MIT won all six events and had three runner-up performances, helping it increase its lead following the second day of the NEWMAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship, hosted by MIT at the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool.Â
MIT sits atop the standings with 615 points, followed by Coast Guard in second place (305 points), Wellesley in third place (246 points), Babson in fourth place (232 points), Wheaton in fifth place (200 points), Smith in sixth place (197 points), WPI in seventh place (176 points), Springfield in eighth place (157 points), Clark in ninth place (105 points), and Mount Holyoke in 10th place (94 points).Â
Competition will resume tomorrow, Saturday, February 21, at MIT with prelims at 10:00 AM followed by the finals at 6:00 PM. Tomorrow’s events will include the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, and the 200 Medley Relay.Â
