CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - On the strength of seven All-Conference performances and four event victories, MIT moved into first place following the second day of the NEWMAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship, hosted by MIT at the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool.
MIT leads the way with 524.5 points , with Coast Guard in second place (364 points), WPI in third place (298.5 points), Babson in fourth place (279 points), Wheaton in fifth place (234 points), Springfield in sixth place (215 points), and Clark in seventh place (126 points).
Competition will resume tomorrow, Saturday, February 21, at MIT with prelims at 10:00 AM, followed by the finals at 6:00 PM. Tomorrow’s events will include the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, 1-Meter Diving, and the 200 Medley Relay.
