NEWMAC men's tennis championship action continued on Saturday afternoon with semifinal matches. No. 1 seed MIT defeated no. 4 seed Clark 5-0, while no. 2 seed Babson ousted no. 3 seed Coast Guard 5-1.
The Engineers and the Beavers will face off on Sunday, April 28th at noon for the NEWMAC championship
GAME ONE: MIT 5, Clark 0
MIT raced out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play. SeniorÂ

GAME TWO: Babson 5, Coast Guard 1

Andrew Watson (Charlottesville, Va.) earned points in singles and doubles to help 29th-ranked Babson College defeat the Coast Guard Academy, 5-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Babson Tennis Courts.Â
The second-seeded Beavers recorded their seventh consecutive victory to improve to 14-8 overall while advancing to the conference tournament final for the ninth time in the last 10 tries. The third-seeded Bears see their season come to a close at 10-6.Â

Brendan Love (Winchester, Va.) 6-2, 6-0 at number six singles, while Watson recorded a 6-1, 6-0 victory over
Logan De Los Santos (Tula, Okla.) at number five to give the Green and White a 4-1 advantage in the match. First-yearÂ
Kerem Ozlale (Istanbul, Turkey) secured the clinching point with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Norman at number two singles.Â
Wilson was up a set and tied at 5-5 in the second against Lacoste at number one, Lepsoe won a first-set tiebreaker at number three and Choi and Bonetto were tied at a set apiece at number four when the match was decided.
