WESTWOOD, Mass. - The NEWMAC has revealed the 2023 Men's Tennis Major Awards and All-Conference selections. MIT, Springfield and Babson each claimed a major award. 

Following an impressive 2023 season, MIT’s Kailas Kahler was voted as the Athlete of the Year having an undefeated record at No. 1 Singles in conference play.

Springfield’s Marc Villanueva Abad was voted as the Rookie of the Year after posting a 4-2 conference record and finishing 10-8 overall on the season.  

Babson’s Coaching Staff, led by Head Coach Michael Kopelman and Associate Head Coach, Alan Dubrovsky were voted as the NEWMAC Men’s Tennis Coaching Staff of the Year. 

The 2023 NEWMAC Men's Tennis All-Conference team consists of eight singles and four doubles teams, as voted on by the seven competing men's tennis coaches. The selections are named below.
