WESTWOOD, Mass. - The NEWMAC is excited to announce the Men’s Lacrosse 25-Year All-NEWMAC Team, in recognition of the historic 25th Anniversary season. Men’s Lacrosse became a NEWMAC sponsored sport in 2014. A total of 27 student-athletes have been recognized, as announced by the conference office on Thursday. The honored team was voted on by the membership.

There are 13 All-Region performers and 10 All-American performers within the group.
Springfield’s
Keith Bugbee was voted as the top coach from the past 25 years. Bugbee has been the head men’s lacrosse coach at Springfield for 40 years. In 2019, Bugbee became just the fifth coach in the history of collegiate men's lacrosse to capture 400 victories, and the only to ever win his first 400 games at just one institution. Under Bugbee’s leadership, Springfield won twelve straight titles from 2008-2019, six of which were NEWMAC championships.

The men’s lacrosse 25-Year All-NEWMAC Team was voted on by current men’s lacrosse coaches and sports information directors at the conference's seven member institutions. Voters were asked to rank student-athletes and were not allowed to vote for members or coaches from their own institution. To be eligible for the 25th anniversary team, student-athletes must have been recognized on the NEWMAC First-Team All-Conference team at least twice, and/or earned Player of the Year honors. Coaches must have coached in the NEWMAC for a minimum of 10 seasons.
