NEW YORK - The NEWMAC saw seven women's divers compete in the 1-Meter finals of the NCAA Regionals on Friday evening at NYU. MIT led the way with six divers in the top 24 with one representative from Mount Holyoke. Out of the seven representatives, four placed in the Top 10.
NEWMAC Diver of the Year, MIT's Rachel Loh led the charge with a 3rd place finish totaling 408.20 points. The NEWMAC controlled the 6th - 8th place finishes as MIT's Ava Dijstelbloem (399.40), Emma Scott (393.45) and Mount Holyoke's Maddy Sewell (387.65) took those honors respectively. The Engineers took an additional three finishes in the Top 20 as Katelin Du (363.45), Megha Maran (352.10) and Hannah Donner (352.10) took 16th, 20th and 21st respectively.
The top-four divers all qualify for the NCAA Championships, though more may be selected to reach a total of eight divers from each region. Official selections will be released on Monday.
