MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - With the conclusion of the regular season, the NEWMAC has revealed the 2026 Men's Lacrosse Championship bracket. The men's tournament consists of five teams that will compete for the title of NEWMAC Champion, beginning on Tuesday, April 28, with the opening round.
Babson College (7-0) claimed the top seed and will host a semifinal game with a first-round bye. The Beavers goalkeeper
Andrew Almquist leads the league with an 8.56 goals against average and a .618 save percentage. The Beavers will await the winner of No. 4 Salve Regina University and No. 5 Coast Guard Academy.
Springfield College secured the second seed with a 6-1 record and the right to host a semifinal game with a first-round bye.
Ryan Berkel has contributed 24 goals this season and will look to be an impact player in the postseason. MIT (5-2) took the third seed and will advance to the semifinal round to face Springfield. MIT’s
Riley Pierce is second in the NEWMAC with 3.06 goals per game.
Salve Regina (4-3) claimed the number four seed and will host No. 5 Coast Guard (3-4) on April 28th in a first-round match-up. The Seahawks will look to
Daniel Naglieri to help create offense, as he leads the league with 3.29 goals per game. Coast Guard is led by
Ezekiel Christian’s 2.08 assists per game.
The semifinal winners will advance to the title game on Saturday, May 2
nd at the site of the highest remaining seed.
Tickets for NEWMAC championship events can be purchased through the NEWMAC box office. The NEWMAC encourages fans to purchase their mobile tickets in advance of the event to streamline the entry process on game day. Spectators may purchase mobile tickets on site, but no cash option will be available. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission. Children 12 and under and NEWMAC students with a valid institutional ID are free and do not need to purchase a mobile ticket. Once a matchup is confirmed following each round of the championship, the tickets will become available.
