CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - MIT claimed its 15th consecutive NEWMAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship on Sunday at the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool. The host Engineers topped the team standings with 1632.5 points as the final day of competition concluded at the NEWMAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship with a revised timed finals schedule.
Coast Guard was the runner-up (750 points) while Wellesley College finished third (651.5) and Babson College was fourth (530). WPI was fifth (515), followed by Smith in sixth (492), Wheaton in seventh (480) and Springfield in eighth (363). Clark was ninth (223) and Mount Holyoke took tenth (168).
The NCAA will announce the swimming qualifiers on Thursday, February 26 on
NCAA.com. Qualified divers will be competing at the NCAA Diving Regionals from Friday, February 27 – Saturday, February 28.

- Champion: Olivia Chen, MIT (2:04.91)
- Notes: Chen was second team All-Conference in the 200 Back in 2025.
- Runner-Up: Sarah Kang, WPI and Chloe Xu, MIT (2:05.66)
- Notes: Xu and Kang recorded matching times and were both award second team all-conference honors.
100 Free:
- Champion: Sydney Smith, MIT (50.42)
- Notes: The title was Smith’s third individual championship of the meet. 2025 NCAA Invited Time. NCAA B Cut.
- Runner-Up: Lillian Poag, MIT (51.63)
- Notes: Poag had the edge on teammate Annika Naveen in third as MIT finished 1-2-3 in the event.
200 Breast:
- Champion: Sarah Bernard, MIT (2:16.90)
- Notes: Bernard repeated as the NEWMAC Champion in the event. 2025 NCAA Invited Time. NCAA B Cut.
- Runner-Up: Daniela Petran, MIT (2:20.12)
- Notes: First NEWMAC All-Conference honor in the 200 Breast.
200 Fly:
- Champion: Belise Smartwood, MIT (2:03.34)
- Notes: Smartwood repeated as the NEWMAC Champion in the event. 2025 NCAA Invited Time. NCAA B Cut
- Runner-Up: Mary Feliz, MIT (2:04.24)
- Notes: NCAA B Cut. MIT swept the top five spots in the event, as Amber Gong (3rd) and Natalie Tang (4th) also recorded NCAA B Cuts.
3-Meter Dive:
- Champion: Fiora Beratahani, MIT (499.45)
- Notes: Beratahani has now won the last three NEWMAC 3-Meter Titles. NCAA Regional Qualifier.
- Runner-Up: Logan Yee, MIT (495.30)
- Notes: Yee and Beratahani swept the diving honors as Yee was the champion on the 1-Meter board. NCAA Regional Qualifier.
1650 Free:
- Champion: Tiffany Kim, MIT (17:24.23)
- Notes: The All-Conference honor was the first for the MIT first year.
- Runner-Up: Christina Beggs, MIT (17:46.24)
- Notes: Beggs earned her third All-Conference honor of the meet.
400 Free Relay:
- Champion: MIT (3:24.04) - Lillian Poag, Annika Naveen, Mary Feliz, Sydney Smith
- Notes: 2025 NCAA Invited Time. NCAA B Cut.
- Runner-Up: Babson (3:32.96) - Sophia Sznewajs, Samantha Gilbert, Sylvie Racicot, Julia Netishen
- Notes: Netishen was included in all three Babson All-Conference honors in the meet.
