WESTWOOD, Mass. - The NEWMAC is excited to announce the Men's Track and Field 25-Year All-NEWMAC Team, in recognition of the historic 25th Anniversary season. A total of 36 student-athletes have been recognized, as announced by the conference office on Friday. The honored team was voted on by the membership.
A total of six institutions were represented on the team, with MIT leading the way with 11 honorees. Right behind was Wheaton with 10, followed by Springfield with seven. Coast Guard and WPI each placed four on the team, while Babson rounded out the team with one selection.
The team features 23 Track or Field Athlete of the Year honorees, six of which were multi-year recipients. Combined, the group earned a total of 163 first team All-NEWMAC nods. There are 15 All-Region performers and 12 All-American performers within the group. Additionally, seven NCAA National Champions make an appearance on the team.
MIT's
Halston Taylor was voted as the top coach from the past 25 years. During his tenure, Taylor led the Engineers to 19 straight NEWMAC men's track and field titles. His squad also captured three New England Division III Men's Championships. He won 13 NEWMAC Coach of the Year awards and has been honored five times by the USTFCCCA with regional track and field Coach of the Year honors on the men's side. Taylor retired in 2021 and was inducted into the USTFCCCA Hall of Fame in 2022.

The men's track and field 25-Year All-NEWMAC Team was voted on by current coaches and sports information directors at the conference's six member institutions. Voters were asked to rank student-athletes and were not allowed to vote for members or coaches from their own institution. To be eligible for the 25th anniversary team, student-athletes must have been recognized on the NEWMAC First-Team All-Conference team at least twice, and/or earned Player of the Year honors. Coaches must have coached in the NEWMAC for a minimum of 10 seasons.

About the NEWMAC
