Game 1: No. 4 MIT Edges No. 5 Emerson
The Engineers led the way in a wire to wire victory over the Lions. MIT used a strong first quarter to grab a the lead going into halftime, but Emerson pulled within five during the middle of the third stanza. The Engineers used a fourth quarter surge to come out with the victory and will travel to No. 1 Babson on Thursday. MIT's Taylor V'Dovec led all players with 19 points and chipped in three assists and two steals.
Game 2: No. 3 Springfield Cruises Past No. 6 Clark
The Pride jumped out to a quick lead and held on to a dominant edge at the half. The Cougars were able to cut some of its deficit in the third quarter, but Springfield continued its strong performance to hold its double-digit advantage over Clark. The Pride will head to the Pioneers on Thursday for the NEWMAC semifinals. Springfield's Goslin tallied a game-high 18 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, grabbed six steals and dished out four assists.
Game 3: No. 2 Smith Defeats No. 7 Wellesley
Both teams opened up with a strong first quarter, but the Pioneers raced out to a double-digit lead with a dominant second stanza over the Blue. Smith contined to put on the pressure offensively, as the Pioneers defeated Wellesley. Smith will host Springfield in semifinal action on Thursday. Smith's Bondi led all players with 18 points and added four assists and two steals.
