MIT Chosen To Finish First In Men's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Poll

WESTWOOD, Mass. - After an exciting 2017 men's cross country season that produced incredible performances from each of the league's eight teams, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) is looking forward to an outstanding 2018 campaign and has revealed the results of the 2018 NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Poll. 

MIT was chosen to finish first with seven first place votes, after earning a 16th place finish in the 2017 NCAA Division III Championship and their 20th consecutive NEWMAC title. After placing 13th in the 2017 NCAA Division III New England Regionals, WPI comes in ranked at No. 2 with one first place vote, while No. 3 Coast Guard, No. 4 Springfield and No. 5 Babson follow. Rounding out the final three slots are No. 6 Wheaton, No. 7 Clark and No. 8 Emerson. 

The upcoming season returns eight All-Conference selections and four All-Region winners (Aidan Gilson, Josh Rosenkranz, Billy Woltz, MIT; Jack Pinho, Springfield).
