MIT Picked First in Men's Swimming and Diving Preseason Coaches' Poll

WESTWOOD, Mass. - After an impressive 2017-18 season, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) is looking forward to the competition amongst the seven programs across the conference. 

MIT claimed the No. 1 spot with six first place votes, after a fifth-place finish at the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championship and earning their 10th straight NEWMAC Championship. Coast Guard was picked to finish No. 2 with one first place vote, followed by No. 3 WPI and No. 4 Wheaton. Rounding out the final three are No. 5 Springfield, No. 6 Babson, and No. 7 Clark. 

The NEWMAC welcomes back 28 All-Conference winners, along with 29 All-America career honors. The NEWMAC also returns two major award winners in MIT's Bouke Edskes (Swimmer of the Year) and Samuel Soloman (Diver of the Year).
