Game 2: No. 5 WPI Knocks Off No. 1 MIT
The game opened with back-and-forth baskets until WPI jumped out to 20-12 advantage. WPI pushed its lead to double figures with a commanding advantage going into halftime. After the break, MIT rallied and put together a 27-3 run to take a one-point lead with less than three minutes remaining. The teams went back-and-forth with a tie-game at 17.5 seconds remaining at 53, before a last second shot by WPI sealed the win.
Game 3: No. 2 Emerson Holds Off No. 3 Springfield
The Pride opened the game with a quick lead, before the Lions raced back to make it within two, 13-11. Springfield earned a five-point lead halfway through the first half, but Emerson quickly closed in. The remaining of the half was highly contested, as neither team was able to earn more than a four-point advantage with the teams heading into the break with a Lions lead, 36-34. The score remained close until the middle of the second half, when Emerson gained a double-digit lead over Springfield. The Pride would come within four, but the Lions were able to hold on for the win.
