NEWMAC Well-Represented on 2018 Longstreth/NFHCA All-Region Teams

GILBERT, Ariz. - The New England Women's and Men's Athlete Conference (NEWMAC) was well-represented across the 2018 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III New England East All-Region Teams. The NEWMAC landed 20 student-athletes on the first and second teams. 

Eleven of the 17 Longstreth/NFHCA All-New England East First Team honorees come from the NEWMAC, as forwards Kyra Ashe (Springfield), Taylor Conley (Springfield), along with midfielders Sammie Pavlov (Smith), Devon Goetz (MIT), Colby Newsham (Mount Holyoke), Amanda Nusbaum (Springfield), Tori Roche (Babson) and Ashley Tango (Babson) all earned first team honors. Defenders Beatrice Chaudoin (Smith), Lauren Drakeley (Babson) and Megan Flynn (MIT) also garnered first team accolades. 

Nine NEWMAC student-athletes were named to the Longstreth/NFHCA All-New England East Second Team, including forwards Olivia Barksdale (Clark), Amanda Garofalo (MIT), Catherine Gilman (Babson), midfielder Elizabeth Helmreich (Wheaton), and defenders Shannon Hynes (WPI), Mirjam Keochakian (Mount Holyoke), Cecie Negron (Wellesley), Madison Paro (Babson), along with Babson goalkeeper Cassidy Riley.
