20 From the NEWMAC Named ABCA All-Region; Salve Regina's Shane Williams Named Region I Position Player of the Year

The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced across all 10 regions. Selections were voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and coordinated by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.

The NEWMAC saw 20 named to the Region I teams, while Salve Regina College’s Shane Williams was named the Region I Position Player of the Year.

Williams, also named the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year, finished his season batting .381 with a league-leading 1.192 OPS, along with a NEWMAC-leading 15 doubles, 15 home runs, and 65 RBI. He also topped the league with a .730 slugging percentage, as Salve reached the Super Regionals.

Salve Regina led the NEWMAC selections with seven, while Coast Guard had four, and Clark University and Babson College had three apiece. MIT, Springfield College and Wheaton College each placed one on the teams.
