NEWMAC Announces Athlete of the Week Honorees (week ending November 30)

Marlborough, Mass.- The NEWMAC has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending 11/30/25, presented by SKYBOKX 109.  The full list of honorees can be found below.
 
Men’s Basketball
 
Offensive and Defensive Athlete of the Week- Boluwasefe John (So., F), Clark University
 
Sophomore Boluwasefe John (Corona, N.Y.) led the team with an average of 20.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals in two games played this week. In a 74-68 victory over Brandeis, John scored 18 points, grabbed five rebounds, and blocked two shots, while connecting on eight free throws. In Saturday's game against Nichols, John posted a double-double with a career-high 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, while tallying five assists, four steals, two blocks, and made nine free throws. 

Women’s Basketball
 
Offensive Athlete of the Week- Felicia Fongemie (Jr., G), Smith College  
 
Junior Felicia Fongemie (Ashford, Conn.) scored a season-high 19 points off the bench and shot 81.8% (9-of-11) from the field as the No. 3 Smith basketball team defeated No. 10 Trinity 72-61 on Sunday in a battle of top-10 teams. Fongemie added three rebounds and one assist as the Bears improved to 5-0 on the year.
 
Defensive Athlete of the Week- Regan Keyter (Sr., F), Wheaton College
 
Senior Regan Keyter (Highland Ranch, Colo.) averaged 11.5 rebounds to go with a steal and a blocked shot in addition to 17.0 points and handed out an assist, while shooting 41.2% (14-34) from the floor, including a trio of three-pointers. The forward began the week with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds to go with an assist, a block, and a steal at Johnson & Wales University on November 25. Keyter capped the week with her second double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.
