CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Thirty-three conference all-stars representing 16 schools from the five New England Division II and III football playing conferences have been selected to the 2025 New England Football Writers Association All-New England team. The team, selected by a committee of media relations representatives from the six conferences, honors the best Division II and III players by position in New England from the 2025 season.

The NEWMAC had eight picks, with NEWMAC champion Springfield College and the Coast Guard Academy each having three, and MIT and WPI each placing one on the team.

NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Year, Springfield College’s Tyler Sordillo, was selected as a defensive lineman. Sordillo has 11.5 sacks, which ranks seventh in the country, 13.5 tackles for a loss, and 52 total tackles.

MIT’s Dominic Hess was selected as a defensive back. Hess leads the NEWMAC with five interceptions, including two pick-sixes, two pass breakups, and nine quarterback hurries.

Offensively, Coast Guard’s Harrison Hensley earns a spot at running back. Hensley leads the NEWMAC in nearly every rushing category, including rushing yards (1565), average yards per carry (7.0), touchdowns (18), and average yards per game (156.5). Hensley is one of the top rushers in the nation, as his rushing yards and yards per game rank fourth in NCAA Division III.

Springfield’s Stanford Davis was selected as a fullback. Davis has rushed for 782 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Two offensive linemen were selected in Springfield’s Craig Connell and Coast Guard’s Jay Martin. Connell leads an offensive line that has the top rushing offense in Division III this year, averaging 342.5 yards per game. Martin has helped the Coast Guard run game to 221.1 yards per game, good for 22nd in the nation.

Coast Guard’s Broock Desta was once again selected as a wide receiver, with 980 receiving yards and eight touchdowns this season.

WPI’s Josh Castro rounds out the NEWMAC selections at the punter slot. Castro totaled 2,675 yards, including a school-record and career-long punt of 94 yards to average 44.6 yards per punt in 2025. The foot of Castro led to seven touchbacks and seven fair catches while recording 22 punts inside the 20-yard line and 20 attempts at 50+ yards in nine games played.
