NEWMAC Taps WePlayed Sports to Power Digital Storytelling Around Championships

Boston, Mass. – October 21, 2025– WePlayed Sports is excited to partner with the NEWMAC to elevate exposure and promotion of championship events across 11 sports. Through this collaboration, the NEWMAC conference office will leverage WePlayed’s platform to produce dynamic highlight packages and streamline content distribution for championship competition.

The partnership builds on WePlayed’s early success with NEWMAC member Babson College, the company’s first Division III customer, extending that innovation and impact across the entire conference.

This initiative will help capture the most compelling moments from conference championships and deliver ready-to-share highlight content across digital channels, social platforms, and other media outlets - connecting fans, alumni, student-athletes, and partner institutions with the defining stories of each season.

“NEWMAC is proud of the academic and athletic excellence of our student-athletes, and championships are the culmination of their hard work throughout the year,” said Patrick B. Summers, Executive Director of NEWMAC. “By partnering with WePlayed, we can bring these moments into sharper focus, ensuring that our athletes are celebrated and that our fans and member institutions can relive those defining performances long after the final buzzer.”

“Patrick and the NEWMAC continue to demonstrate incredible leadership in how they promote and celebrate Division III athletics,” said Spencer Rubin, EVP of Sales & Marketing at WePlayed Sports. “This partnership not only makes it easier to create and share great championship content, but also opens new doors for sponsorship and fan-engagement opportunities across the conference’s digital platforms.”
