CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 3 MIT women's soccer team defended its NEWMAC Tournament Championship as the Engineers defeated seventh-seed WPI 3-0 in the final to claim the program's eighth NEWMAC Championship and ninth conference championship overall. MIT earned the NEWMAC's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Luk put a pass across the front of the goal to sophomore Arianna Doss (Houston, Texas) where Doss collected the ball, spun around her defender, and laced a shot into the corner of the goal at 26:02.

Senior Natalie Barnouw (Los Angeles, Calif.) controlled a throw-in and flicked the ball over the goaltender from 15-yards out to give MIT a 2-0 advantage at 31:53.

Luk made it a 3-0 lead when she took a pass from senior Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.), spun around her defender, and put the ball past a diving Lili Hellerman (Ashland, Mass.) at 68:21.

Senior Mia Gilmore (Canton, Mass.) had a chance to put WPI on the board late in the match but her shot sailed wide of the net.

First year Maddy Noll (Northbrook, Ill.) improved to 12-0 on the season as she made one save in the game. Hellerman fell to 10-7-3 with six saves.
