KANSAS CITY, Mo. - United States Coaches announced on Friday, December 2nd the 2022 Region Staff of the Year recipients for NCAA Division I, III and III women's soccer. After they were named the NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year, the Emerson women's soccer coaches were honored with the Region II Coaching Staff of the Year award. 

The women's soccer staff, made up of head coach David Suvak and assistant coaches Colin Connolly, Kate Kohler and Loy Urbina, previously picked up NEWMAC Women's Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year for the first time in program history. 

On their way to the program's first NEWMAC title, the Lions finished 2022 with an overall record of 12-3-5 and were 6-1-3 in conference play. 

Each of the 26 women's staff receiving Region Staff of the Year honors will be recognized at the College Coaches Awards Ceremony at the United Soccer Coaches Convention on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, in Philadelphia, Penn. 

The Region Staff of the Year recipients will be placed on the ballot for United Soccer Coaches National Staff of the Year consideration within their respective NCAA division.
