NEWMAC Shows Strong Finish at NCAA Cross Country Regionals, MIT Claims Title
WESTWOOD, Mass. – The NEWMAC saw all 11 NEWMAC Women's Cross Country institutions compete at the NCAA Division III Regionals on Saturday, November 12 between the East and Mideast Regional sites. MIT took home the team regional title for the East Region placing first out of 36 participating teams. For the Mideast Region, Smith claimed a program best fifth place finish.
In the East Region, the NEWMAC saw five individuals claim a top 10 finish highlighted by MIT's Anna Haddad who finished second followed by #3 Claire Anderson (Wellesley), #4 Gillian Roeder (MIT), #6 Kate Sanderson (MIT) and #8 Ruby Krasnow (Clark). In the Mideast Region, the conference saw Smith's Laurel Kruger take an 8th place finish followed by #9 Lauren Selkin (Mount Holyoke).
