Madden Lowe, Catholic (So., QB – Stafford, Va.)

In his first collegiate start, the sophomore quarterback completed 41-of-55 passes for 433 yards and five touchdowns. He is the first Cardinal to throw for 400 yards since TJ Tutone had 400 in a 40-36 win over Washington & Lee on Nov. 8, 2014. Lowe is also the first to throw five touchdowns in a game since Tutone had five against Guilford on Oct. 31, 2015. Lowe completed a pass to 12 different receivers and was sacked just once.

The senior quarterback found the end zone a total of five times on the ground in the Mariners' season-opening 49-27 road victory over FDU-Florham on Friday. Blankenship finished the night with a game-high 119 rushing yards on 28 carries. His five rushing TDs are the most in a game for a Merchant Marine student-athlete in at least the last 12 seasons.
