NEWMAC Football Offensive Athlete of the Week

Tim Callahan, Springfield (Gr., FB – Enfield, Conn.)

The graduate student shouldered a heavy offensive load in helping Springfield run past Rowan, 46-24, on Saturday afternoon. The fullback ran the ball 21 times for 151 yards as he averaged over seven yards per carry. He found the end zone three times as was a key part of the Pride's offense that racked up 495 yards on the ground in their first victory of the 2021 campaign.

NEWMAC Football Defensive Athlete of the Week

Aiden Lewin, Springfield (So., LB – Orlando, Fla.)

The sophomore was outstanding in leading Springfield's defense in the team's first win of the season, as he posted a team-best 11 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, and recovered a fumble in the Pride's 46-24 victory on the road at Rowan.

NEWMAC Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Christian Hutra, Springfield (Jr., K – Holmes, N.Y.)

The junior delivered another eight points for Springfield as the Pride cruised to a 46-24 win at Rowan on Saturday. Hutra cashed in on five extra-points and added his third field goal of the season as he converted a 27-yard try. He also kicked off seven times, averaging nearly 61 yards per kickoff and registered a pair of touchbacks.
