NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Awards Rewind, MIT's Taylor Named Coach of the Year

WESTWOOD, Mass – After leading the MIT Engineers men's cross country team to the program's 22th consecutive NEWMAC Cross Country title last Sunday, MIT's Halston Taylor has been named the 2019 NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year. 

The Engineers took first with 18 points, followed by WPI in second with 45 points and Coast Guard in third with 99 points. 

MIT's Andrew Mah earned the title of 2019 NEWMAC Runner of the Year with a first-place finish of 25:22. The Engineers' Sanjay Raman finished eight seconds later to earn runner-up honors and the 2019 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year accolade. 

On Sunday, the 2019 NEWMAC Men's Cross Country All-Conference Team was also announced with the top 14 finishers earning honors.
