NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Awards Recap, MIT's Halston Taylor Tabbed Coach of the Year
WESTWOOD, Mass – MIT's head coach Halston Taylor has been recognized as the 2018 NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year, after leading the MIT Engineers men's cross country team to the program's 21st straight NEWMAC Cross Country Championship last weekend.
MIT's Billy Woltz claimed 2018 NEWMAC Runner of the Year honors with a first place finish of 26:14. MIT's Andrew Mah followed in second place in 26:17 to earn 2018 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year accolades.
In addition to the All-Conference honors the NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship Team is listed below. The award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of his/her overall performance or statistics for the season.
