NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Awards Recap, MIT's Halston Taylor Named Coach of the Year

WESTWOOD, Mass - After leading the MIT Engineers men's cross country team to the program's 20th consevutive NEWMAC Cross Country Championship last weekend, head coach, Halston Taylor has been tabbed the 2017 NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year. 

The Engineers were lead by NEWMAC Athlete of the Year, Dennis Maloney while his teammate, Jake Oeding earned the Rookie of the Year nod. MIT boasted nine runners on the All-Conference list while capping it off with the bronze, silver and gold medals.

In addition to the All-Conference honors the NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship Team is listed below. The award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of his/her overall performance or statistics for the season.
