Wellesley Earns NEWMAC Cross Country Team Sportsmanship and Coach of the Year Honors

NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Team Sportsmanship History

BOSTON, Mass. – The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has released the Coach of the Year and Team Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2015 women's cross country season. Voting for the awards are conducted by the head cross country coaches.

After posting a strong 2015 season and coaching the Wellesley Blue to a second place finish at the NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Championship, head coach Phil Jennings was voted as the 2015 Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year. Coach Jennings saw five of his runners earn a place on the All-Conference team which is awarded to the top 14 finishers at the conference championship.

The Wellesley Blue also was awarded the 2015 Team Sportsmanship honor for the 2015 women's cross country season.
