NEWMAC Announces 2010 Women’s Cross Country Post-Season Award Winners
BABSON PARK, Mass. – The New England Women’s and
Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its 2010
women’s cross country award winners on Thursday. After
helping his squad capture its fourth straight conference crown, MIT
coach, Halston Taylor, was voted as the NEWMAC
Women’s Coach of the Year. Mount Holyoke College received the
NEWMAC Sportsmanship Award on Thursday as well. Individual
accolades, as well as the All-Conference team, were determined at
Saturday’s NEWMAC Championship meet. Wellesley’s
Randelle Boots (Seekonk, Mass.) was named the
NEWMAC Runner of the Year as the top overall finisher and
MIT’s Martina de Gues was tabbed as the
Rookie of the Year.
