NEWMAC Announces 2008 Men's Cross Country Post-Season Award Winners
BABSON PARK, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic
Conference (NEWMAC) announced its 2008 men's cross country award
winners on Thursday. Coast Guard coach Steve Eldridge was named the
NEWMAC Coach of the Year. Eldridge's Bears finished as the
runners-up at the NEWMAC championship held Saturday. The Bears also
received the league's Sportsmanship Award. MIT swept the individual
awards at the NEWMAC championship, with Jake
Ruzevick (Coronado, Calif.) earning Runner of the Year
honors as the top overall finisher and teammate Andrew
Erickson (Shorewood, Wis.) capturing the Rookie of the
Year award as the top freshman finisher.
