First-year Anna Bonazzoli (Clinton, Mass.) capped an emotional week by helping No. 7 Babson secure a thrilling 2-1 overtime win against No. 4 Williams on Sunday. Playing all 67 minutes, she anchored a defense that held the Ephs to a season-low four shots on goal. Her composure, leadership, and defensive tenacity were key in a top-5 matchup, all while navigating a personal tragedy after the loss of her brother earlier in the week. Bonazzoli’s performance not only helped the Beavers earn their first OT victory since the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament but also highlighted her resilience and impact as a cornerstone of Babson’s defensive unit.
