Relay of the Week- 200 Medley Relay, MIT
The No. 3 MIT women's swim and dive team opened its meet against No. 23 Amherst with a win in the 200 Medley Relay as senior Kate Augustyn (Eau Claire, Wis.), first-year Sarah Bernard (Brookline, Mass.), junior Annika Naveen (Wynnewood, Pa.), and sophomore Sydney Smith (Atlanta, Ga.) took the win in 1:45.22.
Swimmer of the Week- Sydney Smith (So.), MIT
Sophomore Sydney Smith (Atlanta, Ga.) collected two individual wins in the 100 Back and the 100 Fly in the No. 3 MIT women's swim and dives 209.5-86.5 win over No. 23 Amherst. Smith took the top spot in the 100 back with a time of 57.49 and posted a winning time of 56.20 in her 100-fly victory. She was also a member of two relay wins (200 Medley and 400 Free).
