Offensive Athlete of the Week- Tim Reidy (Sr., G), WPI
Senior Tim Reidy (Needham, Mass.) delivered a pair of career-high scoring performances as the Engineers went 2-0 last week en route to taking over first place in the NEWMAC and delivering head coach Chris Bartley career wins #449 and #450. The senior began his week by setting a new career standard in scoring with 22 points including 3-of-4 on trifectas and 9-of-10 from the free throw line in a 58-49 victory over crosstown rival Clark on Thursday. The new career-best stood for less that 48 hours as Reidy paced all players with 23 points by drilling five 3-pointers as WPI upended Springfield 64-54 on Saturday afternoon. For the week, the guard averaged 22.5 points while shooting 54.5% from the floor, 53.3% from downtown and 86.7% from the line while totaling nine rebounds, three assists and a steal for the #22 Engineers.
