Graduate student Lauren Gips (Winter Park, Fla.) put together a monster week, totaling 57 kills and 15 blocks while hitting .500 and averaging 4.38 kills, 1.15 blocks and 5.23 points per set in a 4-0 week for Babson. She put away 17 kills while hitting .485 and matched her season high with eight blocks in a 3-1 win at Wellesley on Tuesday, and then recorded 14 kills and four blocks in Friday’s 3-0 sweep of Saint Michael’s. Gips wrapped up the week with 10 kills and three blocks in a three-set triumph over Wheaton and had 16 kills in a 3-0 win over Roger Williams on Saturday.
