Singles Athlete of the Week- Melinda Alviar, (Sr.), Wellesley College
 
Senior Melinda Alviar (Indianapolis, Ind.) went 3-0 without losing a single set at No. 2 & 3 singles this past week. The senior captain picked up a key 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3 singles in a 5-4 team win over George Fox. Alviar then won at No. 2 singles against Lewis & Clark and Linfield. Alviar beat Lewis & Clark 7-5, 6-4 and Linfield 6-2, 6-1.
