Pitcher of the Week- Abby Merchant (Fy., P), WPI
 
First year Abby Merchant (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) anchored the WPI pitching staff during a 5-1 week, going 4-0 with a 0.43 ERA across 16.1 innings while striking out 11. The rookie opened the week by combining for 4.1 scoreless innings in a sweep of Hartford before delivering her best outing in the nightcap against Eastern Connecticut, allowing just one run over seven innings with six strikeouts in a 7-1 victory.

Merchant capped the week with a five-inning shutout against Salve Regina, scattering four hits in a 10-0 win. She allowed just one earned run over her four appearances and helped WPI secure sweeps over Hartford and Salve Regina while splitting with Eastern Connecticut.
