Pitcher of the Week- Violet Peverly (Fy., P/IF), Smith College
 
First year Violet Peverly (Granby, Conn.) was the anchor of a Smith pitching staff that went 4-0 last week, delivering two complete-game wins in four days and allowing just one earned run across 14 innings of work. Peverly opened the week Tuesday against Amherst, throwing a complete-game shutout in which she walked zero batters and faced just 27 hitters — the minimum. She scattered seven hits and surrendered no earned runs on 99 pitches. On Friday against Salve Regina, she was even more dominant by contact allowed, holding the Seahawks to three hits while striking out six over another complete seven innings. She finished the week 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP, and nine strikeouts against three walks in 14.0 innings pitched. Peverly now owns eight complete games on the season.
