Defensive Athlete of the Week- Claire English (Jr., F/C), Emerson College
 
Junior Claire English (Winchester, Mass.) averaged 9.5 of her 12.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Lions on the defensive end, while adding 3.0 steals and a blocked shot per game for an Emerson team that limited its two opponents to 54.5 points on 36-percent shooting, including 38.5% from three-point distance in a 2-0 week to open NEWMAC play with three wins for the second-straight year. She also contributed 8.5 points and 3.0 assists per contest for the Lions. English grabbed a game-high ten rebounds in Wednesday's 54-42 win at Wellesley with four points, three assists, and a career-high matching three steals. She posted her sixth double-double of the season (13th career) in Saturday's 76-67 win at Wheaton with 13 second-half points and a game-high 14 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
