Defensive Athlete of the Week- Claire English (Jr., F/C), Emerson College
 
Junior Claire English (Winchester, Mass.) led the Lions’ defensive effort that held their two opponents to 52.5 points per game on 26.4-percent shooting, including 6-for-31 (19.4%) from three-point distance, in a 2-0 week with 3.5 blocked shots and 11.5 rebounds per game, including 9.0 per game on the defensive end. English averaged a double-double for the week by contributing 10.5 points per game, along with 2.5 assists. She tallied 11 points, nine boards, two assists, three blocked shots, and a steal in Tuesday's 66-48 win at Suffolk. English contributed her third double-double of the season with ten points and a game-high 14 rebounds in Thursday's 68-57 win over Salem State, blocking a season-high four shots with three assists.
