MIT's Reduker Highlights Day Two of NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships

GENEVA, Ohio -  MIT's Alex Reduker produced a national runner-up finish to highlight the strong performances by New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) student-athletes on day two of the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Championships. 

Reduker placed second in the high jump with a mark of 6-10.25 (2.09m) to garner All-America accolades. Springfield's Caroline Hitchcock earned fifth place and All-America honors in the high jump, clearing 5-7.0 (1.70m). 

In an afternoon of preliminaries, Coast Guard's Adora Lawrence qualified for the 400-meter finals after posting the ninth-fastest time in 56.62, while WPI's Ryan Wittenberg produced the eighth-best time in 1:51.97 to advance to the finals. 

MIT's Bailey Tregoning took eighth in the 800-meter preliminaries with a time of 2:11.25 to advance to the finals, while teammate Margaret Trautner finished 12th in a time of 2:13.88.
