NEWMAC Women's Swimmer of the Week
Laura Rosado, MIT (Fr. - New Haven, Conn.)
MIT first-year Laura Rosado had an outstanding weekend at the Winter Invitational as she posted four NCAA 'B' cut times, won three events and was the runner up in four others. Individually, Rosado registered a win in the 200-back with a time of 2:00.42, which ranks fourth in Division III women's swimming, tallied a win in the 100-back with a time of 56.80, which ranks 13th nationally and was the runner-up in the 100-free in a time of 53.27. Rosado was also part of four relay teams this weekend. Her 400 medley relay team finished first and posted a time of 3:50.05, which ranks seventh in the nation, while her second place finish in the 400 free relay (3:32.70) was good enough for a 'B' cut. The freshman began her weekend by placing second in the 800 free relay (7:39.51) and second in the 200 free relay (1:36.57).
