NEWMAC Women's Basketball Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week

Chelsea McAllister, Springfield (Sophomore, Baltimore, Vt.)

Chelsea McAllister, a sophomore guard for Springfield College, led the Pride to a pair of NEWMAC victories this past week, as she averaged 17.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. In a 67-60 win over defending NEWMAC-champion WPI, McAllister went off for a career-best 24 points, four rebounds and two assists, before posting 10 points, three assists and one rebound in a 61-53 come-from-behind win over Coast Guard on Saturday. 

NEWMAC Women's Basketball Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week

Taylor V'Dovec, MIT (Sophomore, Blaine, Wash.)

In a 2-0 week for MIT, Taylor V'Dovec averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and shot 82.4 percent from the floor. She posted 20 points, 18 in the second half, shot 8-of-9 from the floor, grabbed six rebounds, and notched three blocks in 23 minutes of a 65-51 win over Clark last Wednesday. V'Dovec followed this up with 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting and produced nine rebounds to go along with two blocks in a 68-30 win over Mount Holyoke.

NEWMAC Women's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Week

Xajaah Williams-Flores, Mount Holyoke (Senior, The Bronx, N.Y.)

Williams-Flores had an outstanding defensive effort for the Lyons last week, recording a team-best 29 rebounds, including 11 off the offensive glass. Highlighting her week was a game-best 19 rebound effort, which saw her post 10 offensive boards, against non-conference Norwich. She also recorded seven steals on the week.
