NEWMAC Releases 2018 Men's Soccer Postseason Honors

WESTWOOD, Mass. - With the conclusion of the 2018 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play, the league announced the 2018 Men's Soccer All-Conference and Postseason honors on Wednesday afternoon. After an impressive season, the Babson men's soccer program swept the 2018 men's soccer major awards.

Beavers midfielder Noah Parker was named the Men's Soccer Athlete of the Year, finishing the season tied for second in the conference in points with 20. A dominant force on Babson's offense, Parker finished with seven goals and six assists, recording a point in eight consecutive games during the season. A mainstay on the Beavers' backline, Babson defender Jackson Greenspan was named the Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Year. Greenspan was a key part of the Beavers' 11 shutouts this season and tallied five assists.

Babson defender Liam Hanlon earned the Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year honors, chipping in one goal and one assist. After leading the Beavers to their fewest losses since 2011 and the top seed in the NEWMAC tournament, Babson's Head Coach Jon Anderson was tabbed as the Men's Soccer Coach of the Year for the 10th time in his career.

The NEWMAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Team consists of a first team of 12 selections and a second team of 11 individuals that are voted on by the men's soccer coaches from the conference. The 2018 honorees are listed below.

Eight men's soccer players are also being recognized, as the eight student-athletes were named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. The award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of his/her overall performance or statistics for the season. The men's soccer honorees are listed below.
