Kirkland averaged 18.5 points and four rebounds at the Engineers won a pair of contests last week and in the process wrapped up their sixth straight NEWMAC regular season crown. Kirkland led all scorers with 21 points to help WPI go on the road and defeat Springfield 66-62. The senior guard then dropped 16 points, including 12 in the first half, in a 72-55 road win at MIT. Kirkland grabbed four rebounds in each game while totaling four assists and four steals and canning 12-of-13 attempts from the free throw line.
